•Our proud story of IKEA Japan started 15 years ago when we opened our first store in Funabashi. Since then, step-by-step we have opened 9 stores in Japan, have welcomed more than 300 million visitors and we are so ready to grow bigger!

In 2020, we entered Tokyo city center and opened IKEA for Business Shibuya planning studio, IKEA Harajuku, IKEA Shibuya and IKEA Shinjuku and we will not stop our expansion journey there.

Previous skills and experience
Formal qualifications in Business Management ,Sales, Marketing, and/or specific IKEA relevant training
Minimum 10 years of experience in leading teams within different disciplines within E-commerce and/or online
Minimum 10 years of working in E-Commerce
Minimum 5 years of experience from retail, preferably home furnishing sector
Minimum 5 years of experience working with multi-channel customer experience from managing change in a complex business environment
•Strong customer mentality in focus, passionate for digital developments.
•Strong skills in working with and through people
Preferred: Knowledge of IKEA brand, culture, values and way of working


Proactively contribute to IKEA business plan. Act as a member of the Commercial Management Team and Actively foster the interdependent leadership and active cooperation across all functions (Digital, Customer fulfillment, business navigation, P&C…) and units, to secure integration, common focus and maximize impact

•Responsible for the integration of e-commerce plan across all functions. Set goals and targets.
•Responsible for ensuring coordination across parties, agendas and activities which have a direct impact on the local E-Commerce P&L, through development of a local Online Calendar integrated with the overall Commercial Calendar
•Responsible for planning, prioritizing and steering local Commercial Web/E-commerce activities within frame set by Digital Unit.
•Responsible for identifying opportunities and deviations through deep understanding, and careful monitoring of the E-Commerce P&L, and developing appropriate actions accordingly, in cooperation other functions.
•Monitor overall performance of the e commerce funnel, and provide input to relevant stakeholders for improvements in customer experience and operational efficiency
•Secure prioritization among key stakeholders for tools/systems to enable a better customer experience(and co-worker experience)and work within frames set by Digital Unit to realize
•Secure a competent and high performing E Commerce cross-functional team that will strongly contribute to reach the common objectives and goals (e.g. growth, profitability, sales and customer experience)
•Contribute to the transformation of the Commercial functions to become truly omnichannel, by developing their online competence and enabling them to take true multichannel ownership
•Responsible for leading the Online Functional Review process in the market, coordinating across different functions and establishing process for review of Online performance
•Take lead in driving an open and sharing climate, being a role model of the IKEA values where our co-workers are informed, engaged and empowered

【Employment Status】
- Full-time employee- 40 hours per week contract
- Indefinite employment with no contract period (probation period: 6 months after joining)
- Start date is the first day of every month (consult with us about your start date)
- Retirement age: 65 years old
