• Extensive expertise of market and competitor behavior in retail to help IKEA gain insights to better attract, develop and retain customers • Strong proven analytical and research skills with experience using different methodologies • Advanced knowledge of tools and methods within competitor and market insights • Ability to understand the complexity of the IKEA business and the role of Insights as an integrated part of the business • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written to be able to inspire using the IKEA tone of voice • At least 7 years of experience in a similar position • Master’s degree within Business, Marketing and Communication, Economics or related
In this role, you will monitor, assess, and predict the competitive landscape and market development on local, regional, and global levels. You will be using integrated insight sources, both internal and external, for a holistic business understanding.
More specifically, you will:
• Lead the creation of relevant and actionable insights regarding Market and Competition • Translate insights, e.g., market shares to business opportunities • Establish and update key relationships with internal and external experts and suppliers • Collaborate with key stakeholders by driving strategies, plans and other initiatives, globally and locally, to improve the understanding of market and competition • Contribute to the creation of the business planning and strategy processes • Challenge and inspire the organization to see things from a customer and consumer point of view, driving customer centricity • Develop and share best practices and learning content across stakeholders within the team, to functions and country teams, keeping them informed on planned deliveries
